my screen saver for the day - keeps me sane, after have read in the local paper that my 'business partner' have gone solo F-ing bitch! I wouldn't have been so hurt if she hadn't been so devious about it. Ignoring my calls for a month and then I find out about it in the paper, and I thought we were friends.....

Well I suppose I learnt from it. I will face her when I have calm.....so I don't say something I regret.

I cant remember my pin!

Mum called when I was in the middle of trying to work out what my pin was to my new service station credit card. I had already tried 2 times so it was vital that I got it right the third time if I wanted to get at least 1 full tank of petrol before the machine took it. She called to see if I had seen the article in Uddevallaren about the local photographers (which I hadn't)? -Weren't you doing a project with someone called Kristin working on 'make me a model concept'? -Well there is an article all about it in the local paper.

Fucking bitch, I knew something was up as she hasn't returned my calls for months.!

Anyway, I am glad that she called as she saved me from losing my card, apparently paying together with your ID card still works phew...

Bad night sleep

Payback starts early - Mina decided to wake up at 2am and then lie on top of me all night.

Not feeling to perky today -just wanna go back to bed (and so does Mina, but thats a big NO NO, she is going to bed early and so am I.

Our first Saturday night in Uddevalla

Mormor has finally agreed to babysit and morfar Ulf is coming along so is like a big night out for them too. - Just make sure we can watch 'Stjärnorna på Slottet'.

That is more difficult then it sounds as our english TV wont pick up the swedish network without a swedish VCR (which we do have but is currently not working). We had also decided to spring clean the flat and take up all the (well over due) xmas decoration up into the attic. Luckily Paul is such a genies and he managed to fix the video with an hour to spare. Mum and Ulf were fashionable late so we even had time to get dressed up.

Luckily Mina helped otherwise we would never have finished in time....

We started off in Cheers. A kind of American styled bar with friendly staff and even friendlier drink prices Norrlands Guld or Jinx cider 25kr!! that is cheep for Sweden. A bit empty but good atmosphere

and a very nice burger....

Next stop - the bowling ally!

This was defiantly the hangout for kids under 18 but we fitted right in, well so I thought (Paul had to remind me that I looked like the embarrassing older woman who refuse to grow up when I was dancing along to Black eyed pea's 'I gotta feeling').

Best of 3 and I won!

Once outside, we did a great summersault - its amazing how 'cushioned' you feel once you've had a few beers inside you. Well it was very slippery, the streets are like an ice rink with snow on top, not safe! So we headed back to Cheers. A bit more crowded this time (the youth just above legal swedish drinking age) and our neighbor (a moody goth) who I waved to when she was sitting all alone being miserable when her friends had abandoned her (but she pretended not to see me). And I got chatted up too. Interrupted actually ,when having a conversation with my husband, by a bloke who thought I looked like Gry Forsell (is that a complement by the way?) who is really fit he assured me.

One last drink, one for the road - a rose tequila (going down memory lane....)

Grötfrukost på Coop

Vi har varit på intag på Göteborgstryckeriet med jobbet och på vägen ner pratade om vi skulle ta vägarna förbi IKEA, man kan ju faktiskt äta köttbullar där för 16kr!!

Tryckeribesöket gick fortare än beräknat (vi var ju uppe extra tidigt för att inte fastna i morgontrafiken....) så det var för tidigt att åka till IKEA. Vi försökte fika med en freelancare i stan men som sagt det var tidigt. Men vi chansade och körde upp till entren (efter att jag berättat att i England öppnade man en timme tidigare för frukost), men förgäves.

Vad gör man en grå och kall Januarimorgon ute på Bäckebol? Jo Grötfrukost på Coop! Fantastiskt erbjudande - gröt (så mycket man kunde äta), ostfralla, ägg, juice och kaffee /te för bara 30 spänn!

Vi slog oss ner i leopardmönstrade soffor och njöt....det måste ju bli en fredagstradition. Vilken tur att vi har Torp så nära ha ha ha

Way too early zzzz

Its an early start, and I am cooking coffee (and I don't even drink coffee) and making it in our fashionable (and apparently flavorsome) percolator coffee maker ITS STILL 5.30 in the morning and its going all wrong! Now I am late too.

Missing London

I have finally finished the BSG battle which I started watching back in London many month ago....WOW I do see what Paul mean when he said 'you could easily watch it again. It's just so grand! Oh and I miss London more than I could ever imagine, but I am not bitter oh no. Moving to Sweden was the best move we've done for years. And my swedish is getting better by the minute (my written swedish was so bad when I arrived the job centre told me I wasn't even fluent. That did hurt.

Hang on - got the biggest sweet craving have to go and see what I can find in the cupboard!

Mmmmm....not really following my new diet, but who is? Most people have slipped up once or twice by now. This year I have decided to take it slow approach to my new improved self. I am proud to say tho that I have stuck to my only-dark-chocolate-at-the-weekend promise and haven't bought a single pick & mix bag.

There might be the odd gingerbread biscuit and a few sweets in the office but what is a gal to do when its right under your nose.

Bad habits -both for the body and the environment

I forgot lunch.

As my office is not right bang in the middle of the centre of town this causes a little problem. Even tho it is walking distant to the shops its still cold and (and I think its raining today, an even bigger reason to take the car) driving there and back is much quicker and then you actually have time to eat your lunch.

But at least we have healthy eating ethos - breakfast and lunch is served at the big dining table.

The Swedish McDonald frenchise is much nicer than in the UK, more like a Burger King equivalent.... Arrrgg who am I trying to fool!? Its shitty fast food. The pigs on the swedish farms have it no better than anywhere else (sniff) and probably not the cows either. I will try not to think about why I stopped eating at any fast food chain 5 years ago. And I hope my husband doesn't read this....

Back in business

Back in the advertising world. Felt like coming back to school after summer break ;)

New shiny mac, an awesome bunch of new workmates and a job. After almost 3 years of being a mother (which I still am of course, and wouldn't have it any other way) its so refreshing being out there, in the real world. I'm lovin' it!

I am still planning to keep a few hrs at the Spa, more for the fun of it (and the discounted hotel packages....) I will also see if I can get some customers nearer to home so I can get some more pocket money.
